We had a great weekend in New York...a mix of weather, lots to see and do...and a few photos along the way.

I'm about half way through the pics I took, but here are some of my favourites so far

(can someone with a correctly calibrated monitor let me know how the colours look on these (saturation)...my two monitors at home are quite different - THANKS!)

1. One of your typical Brooklyn Bridge shots

2. Taxi on the Brooklyn Bridge (I wanted a taxi in the outside lane...but there was barely any traffic on Sunday)

3. Exposure blend to bring back the sky...the light hitting the church was amazing

4. Inside Trinity Church

5. Times Square

6. Through the looking glass at Rockefeller

7. Empire State building from Rockefeller

Yeah, #3 is the best out of the bunch.
I am not looking at these from my calibrated monitor at home so I am not sure one this, but do some of these look just a tad on the dark side?

#7 has potential...dramatic sky you've got going there!

Thanks for the comments! :)

For #3 I had to remove a street sign, lamppost and some orange cones from the graveyard...just done quite quickly in photoshop, but it turned out pretty well.

For #7 I might try brightening up the buildings a little...as it does look like it could be a little too dark.

Almost done with the rest of the photos I took, so I will post a few more on the weekend.

don't mind at all ;) I like the different crop...I usually don't stray from a 6x4 format, but with images on the web it doesn't really matter I suppose.

I don't have the original RAW file here at work, so I'll see what I can come up with later when I get home...although with the Canucks playing, then it might have to be the weekend! :)
