A XTI I would buy used. :)

There's also the XSI and other bodies to consider looking at. It really depends what you are looking for.

I'm actually looking to sell mine as soon as I get my 40D in the mail, but sadly I don't have enough posts to list anything for sale on this forum yet...and I haven't been a member for 30 days yet.

But give me a little while, and if you still need one, I will have it for sale ;) (I'm sure you will have found one by then).

I'm shopping the XSi for my father in law.

I've been leaning towards Adorama for him. Price is about on par with Amazon, and the live.com cashback makes it a bit cheaper. Fabulous personal service, and our location (PA) gets stuff in a day from Adorama.

Check your local Ritz Camera. A friend of mine just got one with the kit lens... brand new in box for around $460. All their cameras were 20% off last week.

Definatly buy used or a refurb. "New" prices would be way too close to the XS which is basically the same camera with a bit more newer tech on it.

If my XTi died I would just get another xxD camera. I'm in love with my "new'" 30D :), never buying another Rebel again!
