I am going to Gulf Shores for a family vacation soon, and will have atleast a day or so to trek around and get some nice landscape shots of the beaches and other cool stuff. I have not been down there before though, and was wondering if anyone knows good places down there? Thanks!

Is Fort Pickens open now? For beach shots, it's all good along there. One of the barrier islands may be the best location, or possibly a marina where fishing boats dock.

Fort Pickens is open, but the road there is not as of yet. It should be open by the end of May. The only way to get there now is by hiking/biking the 6 or so miles or by boat.

I am over here in Pensacola and do not get over there to Gulf Shores that often. But along the gulf coast here is one of the best places to get beach/boating shots in one part of the day and then head inland just a bit to get historical shots or nature shots and much more.

If you want sunset pictures, the best place is one one of the gulf side fishing piers. Either there in Orange Beach or over here in Pensacola.
