Hi,
Marten Dalfors have written a small utility for D30, which he explains:
"You simply can choose to extract from one file or a whole directory. The program creates a new JPG file with the same name as the CRW file in a chosen directory. If the CRW file has an THM file in the same directory it simply takes the EXIF information from the THM and puts it in the new JPG file otherwise there will be no image info in the new file. This way you have small JPG files(80K) for fast browsing with your favourite browser, to choose which files should go through the slow conversion process."
It does not work perfectly on G1 yet.
The thumbnails (from D30 RAW) should be 1440x960 pixel JPEG's but G1 RAW's seem to give 640x480 (maybe interpolated from 320x200). But it works when you feed it only the CRW's and remove THM files from the directory. And it's very fast.
It would be great tool to have decent (big) thumbs from whole directories in a few seconds!
I discussed it with Marten and he said that I can put the utility here, and he would find all feedback useful. Let him know if you need this kind of a program. So get the EXE from
Here
and try it out.
It needs Visual Basic 6 runtime files, so get them too, from Here![]()
