from what i have checked out, they seem to be just as good as a pelican, but a little cheaper. is this true?

The Storm cases are nice for sure... where I work we are dealers for both cases and I have had each side by side, from what I could see they each had pro's and cons, but I ended up going with the pelican 1450 w/foam, though I do want to sell it and get a 1504 w dividers, just outgrew the 1450 too quick. Really I don't think you could go wrong either way.

Storm is owned by Hardigg, and Hardigg is owned by Pelican. From what I can tell by the design, specs and construction they are essentially the same cases.
