Also updated my website a wee bit, to add in these recent shots:

Simon: (V6Goose), I would love to catch up, and shoot with you. If only I could find you. That 100-400L sounds so tempting. I've seen many people shooting with 70-200s, and a few guys with 300Ds with battery grips. I'm using 20D, no grip, but too lazy to remove my tripod mount.

Wow!

Very cool stuff, ok your challange is to find a style of photography you are not good at!

The Balloons were interesting, and I got some good shots, but nothing even remotly as exciting as that!

So long and thanks for all the flash

heh, I like the first shot I posted, with the 17-40L. So much nicer.

What am I not good at? Quite a few things. I have never use a flash gun. Forum members speak about slave flashes etc, and I have NO idea what they're talking about. Well I do know what they're there for. But just the exact connection parts etc.

Product photography would be an interesting challenge also. Would need one of those special rigs with a few light sources, macro lens, and a bit of patience.

Bed time, racing starts in less than 9 hours ago. Will be leaving home around 7am.

Great shooting Wazza, you've really captured the close racing and excitement of the v8 supercars. Would have loved to have joined you guys up there, but gotta work. Bummer. Have a good day today, don't get sunburnt. I'll try and catch some on tv.
Gaz
PS is this really going to be the last year for Puke?

Nice shots Wazza! I know what you mean about lots of us there - Iactually let a guy with a 100-400 take some shots from where I was at one point and wondered if he's a regular.

Sadly can't go today, will have to watch the telly. Look forward to your postings tomorrow!

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Great stuff man. Loved the first shot. You really captured the spirit of madmen in race cars. Love it!!!

Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.
I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot.

VB is Victoria Beer.. Australian. Many large companies were pushing their image upon some nice girls. I think they could sell just about anything. :)

Thanks everyone else.

Joeseph: I was shooting with V6Goose today, and he was kind enough to let me walk around with his 100-400L. Great lens. Downloading the images now, so will see what they're like in a few minutes.

We also had some great time in the last few laps. Sunset was just as the 16 remaining laps started, so 15min later as race was finishing, it was really getting dark in the rainy conditions, and we were both using ISo3200, stopped as low as possible, myself being 4.5 or so, and 1/160th.. Bit grainy, but awesome to be doing them. Will post some later.
