Hi all!! I recently upgraded from the Rebel XTi to an XSi. Finally had some free time today to test it out. Got lots of pics of the backyard crew lol. They were very active today. I'm loving this camera already!! Comments and suggestions always welcome, I'm still trying to learn!!

Thanks!

I used my 55-250 for these shots.

Thanks for the comments! :)

Great shots again - I also have an XSi and the 55-250, but am still learning the combination.

Did you apply post-processing of any kind? Were you using a tripod? Thanks for the insight - I appreciate it.

Hector

The only PP I did was bumped up the contrast a little bit, cropped them slightly and sharpened a couple of them lightly. These were taken handheld, no tripod. I sat on the porch quietly and waited for them to come out lol, had to be sneaky

shot one is priceless. i like 4 and 5 as well. 4 has a nice perch with great background to it.

i have a hard time getting such nice bokeh with my 55-250 at the moment. i assume my background doesnt have the distance yours does. the ground in 5 looks the same as some of mine.

nice shots.

Straightening...lol. Every time I straighten the horizon, I hang the picture crooked.

Great stuff, Tammy. I echo what chopper says, I can't seem to get bokeh as good as yours with the same gear.

Is the EXIF data available for some of these shots?

Very nice shots... the red squirrel never take a bad photo. The Goldfinch is brilliant.
