I just bought the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L (non-IS) brand new for $498 shipped through aafes.com (must be military to use)

Price matched amazon.com @ $600 then used 15% off code 8286pcr3 (expires April 30th)

Came out to $498 tax free and shipped. :D

Good deal or no?

jbrown7815,

Do you know if the coupon code has any limit to the amount of savings? I can pick up the 5DMII through AAFES for $2,549 and the 15% coupon code would bring the price down to $2,167 with no shipping/no tax.

Thanks!
Bryan

Bryan,

If you can use the discount code for AAFES on the 5D2, I would do it in a heartbeat. I miss being in the Army. It does have its perks. :)

Thanks,

You have to have a login for AAFES. I'm not sure how you do that. I have one b/c I have a star card. IF you'r retired you should be able to do it.

https://thor.aafes.com/ics/default.asp (external link) (first time user I suppose)

If they have the 5fmk2 you can Pricematch any big store (Amazon) and then use 15% coupon code 8286pcr3 (expires April 30th) and you will have a awesome deal. It discounts up to $500. To pricematch you have to call in and do order over phone.

Good luck!

Jesse

I hope you are patient, because you may be waiting quite a while for that 5dMII. I took a look at getting one and they are back ordered with no estimate for delivery.

I might just pick up a 580ex II, especially if they price match.

Does anyone know if they are issuing USA warranties?

jbrown7815... Thanks for the tip!!!

I pricematched the 70-200f/4l on Amazon. They pricematch any major store/website.

As far as buying the 5d2, I imagine you'd have to call and hope that you could buy it back ordered using the 15% coupon.
