Hey Woody

Nice work but the lighting looks too harsh

Really like #3, just a tad over exposed, very nice shot though.

Thanks for taking the time to comment Superstse this is the first time bouncing the 580exII. Its always nice to get other opinions. I will have to try using manual flash and dialing it in myself. I have also just picked up an umbrella so i will give that a shot hopefully it will soften the light a little.

Keith

You posted links, not pictures. Had you posted pictures, you would have had more views, and more comments.

I'm new with these types of shots so I don't know how to tell you to position your flash, but the pictures all look flat and like superstes said, over exposed. I'm sure everyone here will give you great tips. I've learned alot in the little time I've been part of this forum.

The light direction looks good but agree it needs to be softened quite a bit.

Thanks for commenting checkgio, i will be redoing the shoot with my daughter and will certainly keep a close eye on the exposure.

Thanks Titus, do you think shooting the flash into an umbrella will help and if so how would you postion the umbrella to the subject.
