13 images and all great, a difficult vote and also a hard choice for an entry. Nice to see some new blood and the return of some old blood. I have only been on the forum for a few months and already feel at home. Fun to see images from across the states and around the world. I hope to see you all on the food challenge. To all, you really raised the bar on this one.

Thanks for the votes. I was actually going to submit a different photo but then discovered this van abandoned in the forest at the weekend. I think it is an old Royal Mail van from around 1953-4 and I just loved the moss and small tree growing on it.
A lot of good shots. As for my votes:

HuskerTony - loved the old grainy feel of the photo, matched the subject perfectly.

Veemac - Great colours and loved the sagging building.

RadAl - Great panning shot, something I've never managed.

Thanks for the votes, everyone. The subject matter did the heavy lifting for me - Bodie Ghost Town (in the Eastern Sierras of CA) is a fascinating place and has tons of potential for great photos.

I was surprised (and humbled!) to be chosen as the winner - there were a lot of very good photos submitted and I enjoyed seeing every one of them. I'm still working hard on developing the eye for composition that many of you have!
