With the spring thaw starting, the snake river is up and pumping. Once irrigation demands rise, these falls are reduced to a trickle

Tough conditions, intense morning sun and very wet and misty.

About a 1/4 mile down stream---hard to get the perspective but these falls are taller than niagra.

This is the same weekend, at Palisades Resevoir about 200 miles up stream. Lots of snow and still iced over.
