The Canon LP-E6 batteries for the 5D Mark II seem to be out of stock everywhere (or places are charging really inflated prices).
Anyways, I ordered one from Norman Camera this morning and it's already shipped out.
$89 & in-stock isn't bad, compared to the $120+ that many on Amazon are going for.

Awesome.
I agree. $89 is a great price. Ordered one for myself in anticipation of getting the 5DMKII. :-)

I'm glad more of these are starting to trickle out. BTW, did anyone else get an orange cover with their LP-E6? The battery covers for my 40D batteries are all gray (the same color as the 40D batteries). Just curious.

Amazon.com is still showing a 1-4 week back-order, but Cameta & J&R through Amazon show stock at $87 & $89.

I'm guessing Canon raised the price on these as well within the last couple of weeks as, for the longest time, B&H had them listed @ $79 (although they never were in-stock).

Depends.

I ordered a 5DMKII BODY from them which arrived on Friday.
It arrived in a kit box minus the lens, the 5D MKII was used (had finger prints all over the LCD) and didn't even come with a battery.

To their credit, when I called, they apologized and offered to send me a new one from a fresh batch they receieved for Monday delivery, and of course free return of the old one.

I asked what the F happened...and all they could say was they probably showed this to a customer at their shop and got mixed up in stock.

Uhhhh...sure...

Anyways, the important part was they corrected the problem.

Wow, that's quite an opps! Glad they did the right thing!
It's the potential for stuff like this that keep me off ebay!

I just bought my 5D MKII and 17-40 from them; excellent and fast service. No gripes.

Must have been a mixup.
I've done my research and went with Norman b/c of their good reputation.

To be fair, they gave me no hassle, were very apologetic and remedy was immediate.

Hopefully I will get a brand spanking new MKII on Monday.

Who are we talking about here? Norman Camera or eBay?

Both...Norman sells gear on Ebay as well.
That's how I ordered mine, primarily to take advantage of the live.com cashback, which gets me back $200.
