That little tab I believe is the latch you use to replace it to it's correct seat. I also have a special tool that came with my replacement screen but I think it was mainly used to hold the screen while placing it in teh camera.

It should be simple enough to put back, but after an accident like that, it's hard to know what else has parted company.
