I just got home after a business trip to Barbados and here are some pics of the hotels I stayed in. Unfortunately, I worked the whole time and had pretty long days so I didn't get a chance to go out and take pictures of the local flavor.

Crane Hotel - stayed here one night before they moved us.

The view of the patio and pools and ocean from the room I stayed in.

Accra Hotel - stayed here the rest of the time I was in Barbados. My suite consisted of a small living area with a TV, mini-fridge, coffee table and small sofa and chair. There were two bedrooms: a master and a second bedroom, each with it's own full sized bathroom. The master bedroom had access to balcony with two lounge chairs and a table and a hot tub overlooking the pool area.

The view from my hotel room balcony.

St. Lawrence Gap - a strip full of resturants, bars and clubs that's always busy at night no matter what day of the week it is.

The harbor/beach near the entrance of the St. Lawrence Gap.

Me too! My family is heading to Barbados next week without me. I will be stuck here at work in NY. These pictures make me want to take vacation time now and head to Barbados.

The flying fish and the dolphin down there was phenomenal! I couldn't get enough of it.

Thanks. I wish I could have stayed a little longer at the Crane. The Accra was nice but not as stunning as the Crane.

May I ask why you left the Crane and went to Accra?

Originally, everyone was booked at the Crane. When we got there, they said they were overbooked.

So they moved all the maintenance personnel over to the Accra. In the end, I think it worked out better. The Accra has a small strip mall across the street that has several small resturants and there's a grocery store about a 10 minute walk away and the St. Lawrence Gap was about a 20 minute walk away.

The Crane was a much more larger and beautiful resort, but there was no local nightlife in the immediate vicinity. You couldn't step out of the hotel and go grab a quite bit to eat or get some groceries either.
