If anyone is interested I am taking preorders as well. $730 shipped.

Is that for the kit or body?

Yeah for sure. I would never go higher than 3200 to be honest. However, since my XSi can only go up to 1600 right now, I think an "upgrade" might be worth it with all the new features that the T1i has. I ultimately want a 5D Mark II but that's going to be a few years from now. :D

And it'll be even longer if you keep buying stop-gaps.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

I went to your site and I saw all of the information about renting lenses. Could you please elaborate on how people buy lenses from you? Are the lenses new? Is there a buying section of your website as well as a renting section? Are you an authorized dealer? Thanks.

.... and the economy hasn't stunk so badly before now either,.. I assure you the two are related. B&H needs to peddle fast to keep up just like every one else these days.

yep.

i had a vendor call me back the other day and ask "was my price too high?"

that was a first, and he offered me 20% off of the earlier quoted price. and i was counting every penny on the bid because i needed the job and i told my customer "i'd really like to get this job" and that's something i hardly ever do with a customer :D.

Yeah I'm going back and forth between keeping the XSi and get the 24-70mm 2.8 or sell the XSi, buy the T1i and get the 24-105mm since I can up the ISO if needed. But you're right, it might be best to just save up for the 5D MKII.

I just spoke to Barry and it's for the body. For $730 shipped it's not a bad price at all. I also called a local store and they're already got them in. There's an article saying that it's already starting to trickle into some stores- http://www.engadget.com …-trickling-out-to-stores/ (external link). But who wants to pay local sales tax right? ;)

If everything works out, I hope to be placing an order with CameraLensRentals soon. They have excellent reviews as well as customer service!! They are also an authorized Canon dealer!! bw!
