Considering I'm looking for a cheap laptop and this is not a "old clunker". If it has everything else (a pretty fast processor, memory, dvd/cd drive...etc) to just have to add a hdd wouldn't be so bad. I'm going on the basis it just needs a hard drive. but for 25 bucks I wouldn't be out a lot if I wasn't able to use it kwim?

What do you think?

Mostly wireless web, DVD player for trips (not that we go on many). If it works possibly some photo editing.

if you up the ram to the max you should be set to go

Grab a 100GB 2.5'" Hard drive, 2GB of ram, and your ready to go,

For editing. Photoshop Elements shoulf work..
