I will be attending a t-ball game tonight to take some pictures for a friend of mine who's son plays on the team. Below is a list of the equipment I currently own. Please take note I have not had a lot of time until recently to start venturing outside of the "Green Box" mode and I just shoot for my pleasure. I would like to know if there is a "basic setting" that I may be able to try out. Thanks for any pointers that are contributed.

Two approaches.

1) Use Tv and set it for 1/500 (or faster) to freeze action and prevent camera shake. Use your 55-240. Adjust ISO up as the light diminishes to maintain shutter speed as needed.

2) Use Av and set the aperture wide open (f4 at 55mm, f5.6 at 250mm). Adjust the ISO to maintain a shutter speed of 1/500 or faster.

Have fun!

I greatly appreciate the information...I am sitting here at work with nothing to do, so I am fixing to start playing with the set up.

Forget Tv go with suggestion #2.
