They definitely sound rather impressive.

That they do. Looks like they've sorted out quite a few of the issues that existed in the older ones.

Mmmmmm, Alien Bees...

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Speaking of ABs, have they released the damn einsteins yet?

The new AB's look like they'll be out after July and I'm certainly interested in one strobe and a power pack. I keep looking at Elinchroms and Profotos but the cost to start off is just way too much and the rest are just unknown!

Congrats on the 1D moose, I would shoot rugby, it is quite fun to shoot, and you don't need long glass like footy....
And Mark, flashes are very very much fun, the more the better :p

The following two photos were not taken by me but by my friend Martin using a Nikon D90. They serve only to prove that I do in fact own a camera and have been known to use it.

This is me using my 75-300mm kit lens with a stofen box on the flash:

Getting ready to take some "portraits" at the NEWS opening ceremony on April 21:

18-55mm kit lens on that one.
