Madness... pure madness (Wait till Dr. Colon shows up!)

 My timeclock is so screwed up ATM :p

Don't mention Colon. We'll get more mankini photos and Brenno will cry.

Do you need a new flux capacitor?

Yeah, I dunno I found last term that my results in tests got worse the longer I studied (Hence crammed the night before every exam ) and the time of class I slept through increased the earlier I got to sleep the night before:lol:

Good thing he didn't show up to the sydney meet, even if he is damn good at photoshoop :p
(Nick, for reference Brenno is a truck driver, Dr. Colon is doing an honours degree in advanced maths but really seems to like toilet humour )

I think most people are out of the 40D now anyway so you'd have to be lucky. How soon can you get into Bing and have a go at getting the price lowered? :p

Camera Exchange in Melbourne have one with 17-85 IS for $1500 iirc. Ditch that lens for about $500-$600 on Ebay and you score a 40D for a very low price. Only catch is it is a Canon scratched box special :D (Brand New in Box, full 1 year Canon Australia warranty)

 They seem to like lowering the prices because of the box!

Phil, you're gonna laugh. But I've found a cheaper option. I remembered the brand of OC-E3 that I bought off ebay (Yongnuo) and then I remembered that they made a full manual flash. They're about AU$50 from HK so I changed my mind and will get one or two of those as well as the Cactus triggers :) If you do a search of Yongnuo here there's a few topics about them. There's two different ones though and I'm yet to figure out which is better, the threads have been confusing!

Wait for Al to come back with info... He seemed pretty happy with his flashes ;) (You know what I think they might have been Yongnuo....)

Good on you for not being a sucker for deals though, a mate of mine bought a laptop bag before he had a laptop, a pelican case the size of a large sedans boot, a 70-200 2.8 and 17-35 when he had 70-200 2.8 IS and 16-35mkII and so on just because they were good deals  (though it does help like when he got his Mac Pro for like 1/5th price!)

Yeah good idea, I seem to remember YN-something

It's not that I'm not a sucker for deals.. it's just that I've got no money! :p I just wish I could make up my mind. Now that I'm getting an idea for these Yongnuo flashes, I want them sooner than the Sigma. But I want the Sigma really badly  I'm also unsure that the Yongnuo's will actually work with Cactus triggers. I read a flickr post that it will so I can only try I guess (when I get money :p).

Couldn't find anything in a search so I'll just wait and see.

How good were some of the deals he found? :p

Flash is still good, I use ISO 3200, f2.8 and flash quite a bit personally....

Yeah, flash is good. In some/most situations when you actually need ISO 6400, the light is very dodgy so flash evens it all up.

Edit: I still don't know why I'm awake at 2.45am when I'm going back to school on Monday!

Yup, that is why it is good, if used right give a decent sort of directional bit of the light

You're going back to school on Monday! Unlucky! :p
I still haven't gotten my damn report!
