Yeah, that should work Collin.

In other news, we just bought a pram.

Looks like this baby thing is actually happening. Wowsers.

Don't worry mate, it'll be worth it. My sister had a baby in December and it's fun when he's over here with us.

Dave, I like the cover. Looks really cool. :)

Same, really nice cover Dive, like it....

The Mk III came back today, finally, after Canon putting the wrong address on the parcel and AaE being quite rude about redirecting it to me... They sent it to number 16 instead of 15.
AF seems much better, just loading up some test shots now to see how much better.

I love my mk III after the fix, before it was sort of love hate when it acted up, now it is just sweet! :)

wakko wrote in post #7824607 (external link)
ahh thanks for the link Mic. That's classic reading. Very stubborn store owner, and really not taking the advice of the masses. Shame really. Looks very unprofessional and like some kid threw it together in HTML101 back in the 90s. You'll always get people stuck in their ways though.

Yeah, thanks mic, made me laugh too!

In all fairness, hard drive failure is totally random.

+1, I buy whatever is cheap... (and backup!)

11.30am tomorrow is short notice?
You have an hour to shoot?
With all that official-looking gear you have, that should be a doddle ;)
I'd charge $200 to shoot, and include a $100 credit towards whatever prints / files the client wants. But that's just me.
I daresay you command enough respect to charge far more

LOL angus, haven't they taught you to pack light in your photo school thing?:p

Nah was attached to my scanner, easier way to listen to it as i had the scanner in one of the pouches.

Why the hell do you have a walkie talkie attached to your scanner that you are carrying on the street!?!?!

My tax for today. Pat thought Lilly needed a cuddle.

Awwww :)

This has a really weird 3d effect to it. It reminds me of looking at those magic eye pictures.

Yeah, I really really like it too, dunno what it is but it is crazy and awesome, not embarrassing, I think the grain might actually be helping it...

I have the Flipside 300. Great design.

I currently use the vertex 100, smallest bag most of my stuff fits in, also will use my TT pouches to convert smaller bags for use for only subsets of my stuff...
Very happy with the design of it! and the harness is very comfy too.

Yay for using available street lights when your umbrella blows into the drink:

Really nice recovery from a potential fail!
probably nicer with the more atmospheric look too...

Damian, a humorous image . Nice DOF as well.
Cheers Mic. Interesting. Dilemma dilemma , the impression I have is that the PWs over rely it's connectivity with the computer to change settings.

I would go new PW just for the TTL

kja wrote in post #7841495 (external link)
I use skyports and so far love 'em :)

Same, but they don't do TTL :p

Scanner was scanning Ambulance and Fire Brigade, i dont like having headphones on (just gets annoying - especially when there is nothing being said over the scanner)

The "walkie talkie" is just a mic/speaker for a simple two way radio, plugs into the 1/4 plug on the top of my scanner, ofcourse the mic doesnt work but it simply acts as a speaker closer up towards my ear so i can actually hear the thing.

Reason i carry it on the street is the same reason i have it on my desk or in my car, so i can know whats going on and it allowed me to get to two fires on that particular day.

I'm helping my dad out as he wants to write a cookbook (Don't ask). Anyways, this was basically just a test run to see how it all went. some C&C would be great.

Yes, the shadows :-)

I used Cactus triggers for the above shots. Sooooooo many misfires. :(

Al's V4s are going great guns.

Looks like this baby thing is actually happening. Wowsers.

Note to self: never buy a pram.

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Shadows are numerous and too harsh. You need to soften your lights and make the light believable. A single main light with fill is the go.
