They've got the 7D and the 5D2 and both are very capable cameras in the hands of a pro. I'm no good at predicting what'll be in the next 1-series bodies but a lot of people will hang on to or buy an older 1-series or buy a new 7D or 5D2 rather than jump up to a 1Ds4 or 1D4 because I can't see much happening there. Even better high ISO performance, more MP in the 1D4, what else? More FPS? For reasons covering tax, finances and simply being on top of your game in producing the best you can it will still make sense to upgrade to a 1 series for a lot of owners. ALEXANDER GARDNER

Yeah I'm more of a prime guy though. http://www.edwardhor.com

S7000 wrote in post #8559913 19 AF points doesn't mean it'll have all the features, or as strong as a 1D AF system. Correct. fungry wrote in post #8559917 I thought there was only a 200/2.8 as well ![]() I am also kind of lost in Canon's decision on the 7D. Why ... If it somehow drives 1D prices down, I'll be happy ![]() Can't see that happening, it's pretty different. cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

Non IS but the fastest 200mm out there....if you can find one. I think the 2.0 replaced it That it did. You'd be paying BIG $$$ if you wanted a 1.8 these days. Dan
