Isn't that tomorrow ? or you already have tomorrow in the other half of the globe.

It's yesterday now.

Yes it is and it is never a bad thing to remind us. Love the silhouette.

Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.

and so you should. I think your image is outstanding. Tells the ANZAC story right there. I hope all Aussies/Kiwis on this forum see it.

Powerful silhouette. I am traveling to Istanbul this June and hope to make it down to Galipolli.

As with the U.S. debacle on the Bataan Peninsula at the start of World War Two, the allied debacle at Gallipoli in 1915 was a factor of inept leadership; not due to any fault of the brave (Filipino + American and Aussie + Kiwi) soldiers who fought and died in both venues!

posted in GKPE thread.

Always remember my grandfather on ANZAC. Was in the Islands in WW2. He loved to tell me stories as a boy but when I asked of the war his face changed and so did his mood.

100 years today since the ANZAC's landed at Gallipoli.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Great picture, very moving. Suggest to all that you read the Keith Murdoch story (1915) on his report of Gallipoli. Very moving.
