G'morning. Hip seems better this morning (weird how it feels okay in the morning and like it's a candidate for surgery at night).

It's a beautiful day and I don't want to stay cooped up in the house.

Waking up this morning, I've found one of the chicks-adee laying dead in front of my window. I know it is common that the weakest of the babies dies, but still, it's not a very nice find...
Oh, and GWE!!!!

Sorry about that Didier. :(

Puppies and kids are natural magnets, Baxter gets excited every time he sees young ones too. I did get a wood floor friendly toy this week for Bax that helps to burn up energy on days we just can't get him out. One of those twisted rope things with big knots on both ends and some frayed ends. Just watch your shins, when he gets to shaking the thing those knots will leave a bruise when they make contact. It is a toy we play with for awhile then put up out of reach. Otherwise he will shred it in quick order.

I give to him in the kitchen so when he shakes there is quite a bit of open space for him and nothing at that level to hit and break. Then I toss it into the dining room and living room. Since I stay in the kitchen he brings it back and shakes it some more.

:) Chris bought one of those for Kona last week. I've got HUGE bruises from it
but he loves it.

oh and CHRIS, he's finally discovered how to tug-o-war

Greetings from soggy Virginia....getting ready to head out for a National Train Day gathering with Jon....I have a funny feeling we drove a long way to get wet. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

try and have a good time.

It's the whole "crate trained puppy who needs to pee before the break of dawn and will howl incessantly till he gets to go outside to relieve himself, and he can't even hold it till 7am" thing.

oh gosh, I remember that!

Good morning all. I always enjoy catching up and seeing all the great pictures. I am out of here shortly to take part in the annual Humane Society fundraiser. I am trying to decide if I want to take both girls or not. I have the point and shoot charged and ready to go.

G'morning Denise. I decided I couldn't do that walk but have a good time! Bring home photos :)

She's a very sweet 9 year old cat, part tabby part main coon they say, tho I think she's tabby/persian myself...who knows? tspin isn't much on catnip so I took some to her the other day and she loved it. My brother had bought this huge cat tree thingie and was distressed that she wouldn't even look at it. I rubbed catnip in some strategic places and she was all over it!

she's beautiful.
To me, she totally looks like maine coon. Her face and mane area anyway.

I was going through a bunch of shots in LR, and decided to post a few shots of the unlake as it has changed over the last several months. The first shot was November-ish. The last one was a few weeks ago.

GMAE all, getting late here.

Things to do in India on a quiet but very hot Saturday.

Get up at seven in the morning to photograph the semi finals of our cricket competition followed by a spin on a Royal Enfield Bullet

Days dont get much better than this :-)

I never heard of a Royal Enfield. Where do they make those bikes?

I did. :D

I haven't yet (was fighting off the sleepies while at work), but I'll be going to bed pretty soon here...

ooc, are there any predatory birds/snakes ect that are there trying to rob the nest? Or is it just the parents?

No predators (which is a shame as it means I have to take the poor bird and put it to the trash ) I suspect it is the deed of the stronger bro/sis... They make room in the nest to have more food.

waves to Heather :)

and no, we were talking about the age of the macro lenses. The old non-usm macro was 1990 and the new one started in 2000.

I don't think there was an old 100-400. The 100-300L was it's predecessor.

I cannot sleep.

That's kinda what I figured. Mine was only the third one to come into the local store and that was in 1999...

a little overcast and wet at the moment Deb, I am hoping it clears up as we are having a car wash at the center today from 11-3! Baseball for all the kids is canceled tho.

We're under overcast today also. I'm wondering how that's going to effect the races...

Funny... Buddy was up about that time wanting to go out.

Hope it's not the siblings doing that. If it's the parents, maybe the baby lost it's temperature and just needs to be warmed up. If you can warm it up and place it back could be a chance the parents will feed it. Or you can do it.

Hope they don't get canceled. You probably need to go get one of those big Acme fans and blow the clouds away

Really... Today is qualifying so if the weather doesn't break today, this whole thing might get slipped into next week.

Send 'em to Palmdale. It's sunny and warm here. Well... Give it a couple hours and it won't be warm any more. Then it'll be hot!

Yuck. I've had to deal with that nasty combo before. I don't want to do it again.

I just checked the weather....90.9 degrees with 51% humidity. High will be 94. This sucks. Maybe I'll go take a dip in the pool next door if I get bored inside.
