Mike were the irises in bloom? We almost went there today but thought it was too hot to leave Kona in the car while we photographed.

There were about 5 or 6 iris's total in bloom. If we get some nice weather this week then I'd guess next weekend will be fairly nice there. It's still a beautiful place without the iris's in bloom.

Great shots, Lisa! These two are my favorites. The weeds give the field some interesting background.

I misread it. I missed the "too" and thought you were saying you had missed Cat (but still not me).

Kona and Maggie shots, YAY!!!!

Looks like they had a great time.

Bax has been sick, I don't think the stuffing in the couch cushion agreed with his stomach.

Despite the dozens and dozens of dogs, you don't see a lot of fights. It happens, of course, but not often. I've only heard about fights, never seen one there. There are lots of little scuffles here and there playing and establishing top dog (normal stuff).

We were talking to a lady today whose dog had been bitten on the lip and got torn up a bit. Lisa, Dan and I were talking about what to do. I wouldn't reach in with a hand ever, but if I had something like the chuck it or something, I might try to intervene. But dog fights are usually short-lived and not something to get overly worked up about in my opinion.

Generally people with dogs that fig don't go to dog parks. It is people who want their dogs to play with other dogs. The one time I had a dog really go at Jinx it was some sort of thug dog with motley owners. I jumped in and started kicking the other dog with everything I had. Jinx and I won:) I yelled to the other person to control their dog or I was going to kill it. They came and dragged it away. This was not at a park.
You often see those spats where they start to get serious and all the owners yell HEY STOP IT!!! Generally they do. The hunt hounds will get into it a bit while working out pecking order and as soon as we yell LEAVE IT! they start to wind down.

Nice pup shots. The sleepy one of Maggie looks like what we call hot head dog. Jinx puts her shiny black head in direct sun and stays really still. After 15 minutes she is almost too hot to touch:lol: She then wallows in the grass or carpet and tries to rub the hot off. She will ask to go out and head to the center of the lawn where it is hottest.

Great pictures of Kona. I am sad to say that I didn't get any pictures at the dog walk today. It was tough enough with both girls by myself that there was no way I was going to be able to handle a camera too. The weather was perfect and it was very crowded.

Becky, sorry about the cushion! And hope Baxter is feeling better soon. For us it was books. Kona had a steady diet of paperbacks for about 4 months.

I can understand that. I can't shoot with one dog let alone two. Glad it was nice though.
