I just talked to Lisa and it seems my mom has two severe unilateral fractures, though I am not sure exactly what that is. Regardless, I guess she will need surgery. She just went for more x-rays before they begin.

Maybe she could get a room with my brother, the one who underwent all that major stomach surgery a year ago. He just went under the knife again on Monday for a fairly major hernia operation. They are at the same hospital.

Mark will be in for a couple more days, at least until the severe pain subsides. They have him bound up in a girdle type thing to keep his parts together. They opened up most of the 14" incision he had from last time again. My mom will be in for at least overnight, and who knows how much longer.

Anyone want to come to my house to paint? ;)

Hope you kin all get better soon. Sounds like your going through a stressful time. As to the painting thing, I leave that to my wife. I am a messy painter

Ouch. Hope they both heal quickly. What the heck, my track record is pretty "good" right now, I'll come paint. As long as you promise quiet.

On to a happier subject.....

Some of you might remember a link I posted a little while back about a baby girl getting ready for open heart surgery. The surgery was done a couple days ago, and she's doing very well. She is actually going to be released from ICU ahead of schedule.

Which reminds me. Teach your children, should they cut open a tube of construction adhesive and light it on fire, not to panic and try to stomp it out when it starts to burn violently. This will cause it to wrap around the child's foot, on fire. They will panic, fling their foot, and fire, in every direction leaving little sticky fire balls burning on every surface in a 360 degree radius. They will then run, foot flaming, all the way home through the woods, leaving a burning trail of leaves with intermittent areas of burn where they stopped and flung sticky fire in a circle again. Trust me on this:-|

This 51 year old is thinking of having one too. ;)

This 35 year old would have appreciated one after having to wrestle one of the said 4 year olds who had a massively major meltdown after nap time... I wrenched my back when he lurched forward... I DID keep him from landing face first on the tile floor.... *rubs aching back*

My mother was here helping paint this morning and fell climbing off the ladder. Her ankle swelled up pretty bad and was quite sore. We loaded her up into the Pilot, then Lisa and Caitlin took here to the clinic to get it checked. They just called to say she is now awaiting an x-ray to see if it is anything more than a sprain.

BearLeeAlive wrote in post #7914383 (external link)
Lisa is taking mom to emergency to get looked at because the x-ray showed a fractured ankle and knee. I imagine she will need a cast.
