I really like #1, #4 and #5 very dramatic; love those stars and that lightning.

1, 4, 5, are great! The others are nice too, maybe a little too much brightness?

I also had a question about the star trails on #1. Did you do that with your 400D? If so how long or how many exposures?

These are really sweet.
Nice shots on their own but the hdr and PP make them outstanding.

You may say that is cheating, I don't mind, each to their own opinion, I love it, and it really adds to the image as I have seen hundreds of photos of the Colosseum all the same. I wanted to add something to make it stand out from the rest. I hopefully have achived.

Yes, i agree with you, we are free to play with our photos as much as we want, even to turn it to unreal or surreal who care, i like all great photos whether natural real or fake and manipulated to unreal looks.

I like all your photos and i am doing the same with HDR [except drawing or adding objects].
