We took a drive up to Wupatki yesterday. It is so gorgeous out here, I think I could go out every weekend and never run out of things to shoot! Anyway, I posted some pictures here if you want to take a look.

Taken seconds before my Sigma 10-20 got a big messy handprint on it's unprotected front element. Ah, the joys of grandparenthood. That's the one lens I think I need to keep a filter on for safety - you have to get so close to stuff...

Hey guys - Randy (cntry) mentioned that I should maybe post this here for a possible local sale; hope this isn't considered spamming your thread. If so let me know and I can delete.

I have a 1Ds II for sale for $2100; can do something locally for cheaper than what I am asking shipped/paypaled. I am out in Avondale but willing to drive anywhere within the Phx metro area for sale.

Thx guys; I am looking to move this fairly quickly so I am open to offers!!

Anyone interested in a mini POTN get together at Firebird this weekend? They're holding CCS races there on the Main track, and I'd love to show you guys the best spots and pass along any techniques for getting good pics.

I think $10 gets you in for both practice on Saturday and the races on Sunday. Besides some cool photo ops, the racing is quite good.

I'd be very, VERY interested in going on Saturday Dean.

I'm scheduled to get back to PHX on Wednesday and I'll be chomping at the bit to get outdoors and get back to some semblence of normalcy! Gawd what an awful six days this has been.

I'd do Sunday as well but that's when my wife gets home from Michigan.

I guess you just don't like pretty girls.

I would love to shoot some two-wheeled racing . . .


But I have to point my camera at this all weekend.

I would be interested in going as well. I have never met anyone in this hobby, but have in others.

I just touched base with the guy who runs the racing series and we are good to go. Only catch is you have to sign a safety waiver to go out on track, and agree not to sell any photographs that you take since he has an exclusive agreement with a photographer for the series.

Tentative plan would be to meet at the gate at 7:00-ish and go from there.
