The sport bikes/motorcycle shoot looks real fun, and the shots are very cool.

The portraits look great, fantastic colors . . .

looks like some nice shooting happening.

Have a look if you get a minute...

I looked. That woman on a leash is a hysterical poser. Very nice photos the rest of them.

Thanks...

Folks are certainly welcome to leave comments just like other PBase activities.

The "Leash" shot was from Burning Man. If you knew the photographer, you'd probably better understand where it's coming from. In his somewhat twisted mind, Leash = Pet. Go Figure...

I saw that earlier and asked the question.... I knew it had to be from a Burning Man event....

A fun session... at first we thought the weather wasn't going to hold out... but... the afternoon was awesome.

Kristy did a great job posing(IMO :) ) the kids. Could do it without her! The little ones did well... even caught a couple of smiles. LUCK!

Still doing the post work... here are a few which I think turned out pretty nice.

Thanks all of the nice words about my last pic. I have to say I am truly pleased with it. I am getting better at panning, but there's still a bit of luck involved.

Thanks also to those of you who were able to come out to the track. I had a great time sharing my little photographic niche with you. I hope I was able to impart some useful information. Any time I am out at the track, you are all welcome to join me.

Kristy and Hatch - wow! As was said above, superb work! LOVE the lighting and skin tones. Just incredible.

Superb work here.

Many thanks,
First 3...
Elinchrom Ranger RX/AS set to about 1/2 power... one "S" head... medium Chimera softbox about 6ft from the family....camera right. Just enough out of the scene I could see them and not the box.

Last 2
All natural light... no reflectors or anything... just covered shade. Shot with the 135L for most of the session. The 3rd shot by the water is with the 70-200L IS.
Hope this helps and thanks for the comments.
Hatch

Maybe you said it and I missed it - where did you shoot that session Hatch? Looks really nice for a midday shoot.

In fear of having my legs broken... I can't disclose the location at this time. :D You all think Kristy is nice... I work for her.... and I know the fury she can unleash.... we are not allowed to speak of this magical place.

Thanks for understanding. :)

Dean there was something really special about your invite to the track. Most people just don't do that sort of selfless kind acts.

I would definitely be interested in doing again. The new Sigma 70-200 will be here tomorrow..

Hatch/Kristy, those portraits are amazing..
Great stuff..!!

By the way, if anyone would like to post some examples of your shots from the track, feel free to do so here: http://www.swroadracing.com …pic.php?t=3881&highlight= (external link)

If you do so, it is possible you'll be asked if your shots can be purchased. Honestly, I don't care how you handle that situation and the less I know, the better. :)
