Nice Dean, didn't know he put one on his helmet.

Some shots from one of my cards...only used two :-) first time out at the track. tried some experimenting with panning. made it to about 1/80 sec. keeper rate there was very slim.

This thread is an absolute hoot to follow.. You guys are all so busy..unbelievable images..

And dang, those flower shots are book worthy..

Jay, as usual, those plane photos are incredible. I have no idea how you are able to nail those exposures you do. It is really hard for me to get anything decent in the sky...

It's certainly asking a lot when shooting up sun...

DM isn't really set up well for an Airshow since the crowd has to face to the south.

These both look really good though given the geographic limitation.

I'm feeling not so worthy... you guys are doing some incredible work. I may drag the hubby out to Bartlett Lake today to see what we can see...

Wow, Hatch, just keep 'em coming, I love every one of them. Nice job too, ChristinaMae!

Are the poppies where you can see them from the road in?

These are the kinds of shots I was looking to get at Apache Trail, so I guess I hit it wrong this weekend. They were just all along the road (Not much stopping room). My body is too pooped to go out to Bartlett today (I took no food/water/hat/boots - dumb, and contortionist acts to get weed-level) but I ended out 1/2 way out there for a meeting so just kept going. I have Wednesday off and will definitely go out to Bartlett! Do I see white poppies in the mix in #19 and #27? NEVER seen those before.

Many thanks. Yes... the majority of these were shot near the road. Once you make it to the lake... take a left on North road I think is the name... and you will see them all along the way. I only went a mile of so in... didn't explore the rest of the road.

Yes... white poppies... found them later in the shoot.. .was tired...didn't shoot them enough :(

Have a fun Wednesday out there.

Went out today looking to try out the 100mm macro.

This was taken on the side of the road (Ellsworth) heading to the Salt River just past the Usery Park.

99% of the original image and an extreme crop.

Wow Steve! Love these. I have a bunch of these poppies in my yard that I like to play with too, my favorite weeds. Fun with the macro, it did a nice job!

Thanks!
I wish I had some flowers in the yard (townhouse so it's pretty plain landscaping), it would save a lot of time driving around! :)

Here's one more, I added the dime for size perspective

Looks like you are having fun with the new lens Steve. Nice use of the dime to show the size of the flower.

Have a fun week all.
