Went out today looking to try out the 100mm macro.

This was taken on the side of the road (Ellsworth) heading to the Salt River just past the Usery Park.

99% of the original image and an extreme crop.

That's incredibly sharp, Steve--what brand is it? Went to Bartlett today but difficult with a crappy macro.

6D, G9, Sigma 50 1.4, Sigma 15mm Fisheye, Sigma 50 2.8 macro, Nikon 14-24G 2.8, Canon 16-35 2.8 II, Canon 24-105 f/4 IS, Canon 70-200 2.8 IS, tripod, lights, other stuff.

If anyone living downstream from Tempe Town Lake has noticed a little more water in the Salt River lately, I think I found why:

I made it out to Bartlett Lake this afternoon. It was gorgeous but pretty windy so it was tough to get the nice closeup flower shots. I didn't get anything near as nice as some that have been posted but I liked this one.

About a 33% crop. I was out with the MkIII and no TCs on hand. When it gets full, I'll go roll out the 40D and 2X

I attended my first workshop today hosted by Michael Williams and Dave Honl. This was downtown Phoenix at Studio Moirae this afternoon. It was an advanced lighting workshop and I certainly learned a few new pointers I never know. Here are a few shots with some of the new Honl gels and speedgrid I bought from him. These are photos of my dog Tyson. No editing was done, these are straight out of the camera.
