PicBug, Frank, Doug - great shots! You guys are killing me with all of the wildflower shots. Just gorgeous work. Doug, I gotta get out and try my hand at baseball. Love the colors and action.

I have an issue I want to run by my esteemed colleagues.

A young racer sent me a message on Facebook that he was excited to see the pictures of himself from Saturday. After I accepted his friend request on FB, I noticed his profile image had the watermark from Trackday.net, a fellow motorsports photographer who I have a lot of respect for and who I have purchased images from.

Today I sent him this message (privately) and I was wondering what your take is on the issue. Should I just accept that this sort of thing is going to happen and let it go? Or should I be watchful and defend my work from improper use?

Here's the message I sent:

time to walk the plank

WOW!! *sigh* I looooove the flowers. I wish I could get out there..... PIc Bug, I Love, Love, Love the pink poppy shot.. :) You did an awesome job with all of them. I need to sell my 85mm lens so I can buy Jay's 100 mm macro... he won't need it anymore since he has the fipping 500mm bad boy! haha..

@Jay.. too funny! Wish I could take credit for "glowing"... but I do know the secret..... ;)

Nice sports work Doug... always a fan of your work.. and Jay.. what can we say about your amazing aircraft? As for Mr. Mike.... come on man.. share some of those macro shots...! No fair holding out on us!!

I'm slow, I'll put some up soon.

From this afternoon... Bartlett Lake... I think the flowers will be there for another week or so if you all haven't made the trip. Of course... all depends on the weather.

Here are just a few from today... too tired to work on all the rest.

woah... not worthy!

Boy, oh boy I am so, so tired of you guys gaying up the place with all your flowers, next thing you will want to add some potpourri and drapery (jk) ;);)

I took some pictures in a field . . .

it's all making my eyes itch, nose run and killing me with allergies.

nice shots, good to see a change... speaking of allergies... that wind has picked up something that's killing me today. :(

Turnabout is fair play, so here's one of Joyce (presumably) having fun too. :)

And Ryan pointing the business end of his 70-200 2.8 IS at me.

lol... i look like a cheesy short round steeling indie's hat...thanks for documenting it though! :)

Went out today looking to try out the 100mm macro.

This was taken on the side of the road (Ellsworth) heading to the Salt River just past the Usery Park.

99% of the original image and an extreme crop.

wow... looks great! wish my tax return came sooner!

I wish I could do the dragon boat races on Sunday. Tomorrow morning I am heading out to Bartlett Lake with another photographer. Let me know if anyone else is interested in meeting up.
