Nice cpature. I like the shallow DOF in the shot. The background goes well with the yellow. I think you will have fun out at the lake... lots to see in the few miles of road.

The first lens to get is the 70 mm -200 mm L IS f2.8 spend the extra for the f2.8 that is your "swiss army knife" of lens, and the most used lens for indoor basketball, nighttime football, just about any indoor sports where light is an issue.
It's good in the daytime for zoos, motorsports or any daytime sports, but as soon as the sun starts to go down I have to put it away.
There are many factors to consider, like cost, what you shoot most, size, and weight.
Next daytime meetup we are at, I can let you shoot with it some and see if you like it.
Also on a crop body/APS-C sensor it works out to like 640 mm or something like that.

Thanks Doug. That MK2 70-200 really looks like the shizzle.. I'm pretty happy with my Sigma for the moment now that I got the 7d back from calibration. So Maybe I'll still save my benjis for the 100-400.. Thanks so much again for all the advice.

Hatch, do you ever take a bad one? These are all just so perfect. I want your lens lol! Your's, ChristinaMae, is just as pretty. Wish I knew your secrets. I'm going back out to Bartlett this weekend, and will take my Tamron out for a spin, but I usually end up changing it out for the 50mm. Maybe I'll see you both out there!

Edward, amazing lady there!

LOL Of course I take bad shots... that is what the mighty delete button in for.... you only see the ones I think are worth viewing. :) Appreciate the kind words.

The Sigma 180mm macro is a killer lens IMO. For Nikon... you could pick up the Sigma 150mm marco... lighter and just as good. Would even make for a nice portrait lens as well.

Might be out there on Sunday... haven't decided... maybe tomorrow. I have Spring fever in a big way... I want to be outdoors all day every day. :)

Just an FYI but Sunset and (Full) Moonrise are both at 6:45pm on Monday...

Don't know what the topography is like at Bartlett but I can see a Full Moon rising behind some flowers.

Just Sayin' ;)

New blog is live... still needs a little work ...but... I think it is nicer than the original. We have added a little "Store" to it and we have "The Playground" where Kirsty and I are going to post shots other than client work.

For the store... there is a 20% coupon if anyone is interested in prints... the code is ... azproblog

Have a fun weekend all.
