I know people know the answer, I'm heading to Chase Field, so do you folks think I could get away with bringing my 1D and 70-200 combo? or if I paired it with a cheap rebel would that work instead? I'm going to the baseball game wednesday night against the yankees.

You'll have no problem if you have boobs and blonde hair (friends of mine with both got similar rigs inside this year) but based on my own past experiences, I'd say probably not but try it.

They seem to be running hot/cold/hot/cold on camera gear this year. In the past, the DBacks were the most draconian team in the NL.

knee is doing much better. still afraid to see a doc about it being worse than it really is but at the same time I don't want to go if they will just tell me what I already know...hate wasting money like that. Oh, but I was able to go down the steps fairly quickly while we were trying to get out of Chase Field tonight, from the 3rd floor. now I just gotta ice it for tonight :-)
I gotta catch up now with posts. I have all this free time and with the heat I don't think I'll be outside much.

Theres a lot of "coin" right there invested in that rig. He is very good at what he does. It's been nice watching him develop his skills and technics over the years. About a year or so ago, his photo of Yankee stadium made the cover of USAToday..

We have a local here that has a similar business model, but has taken everything a step further. He also makes all custom cnc'ed equipment.

The video demonstrates the 360 vr shot.

I have finally caught up with my editing. I updated my flickr with my last 2 hiking trips and my trip to La Jolla. I would love feedback.

By the way, a lot of these were taken with a 17-40mm f/4L that I got to borrow for a couple of weeks. I loved it. Too bad that it is expensive. One day...

Couple of test shots...

Picked up the Canon 200 F/2.8 L MK2 .... dialed it in with Lens Align Pro... I think I have it tuned in. Had to adjust +2 backwards as it front focused a little.

Photographed my wife to make sure it hits... plants are one thing... but... they don't buy photos. LOL It looks to be hitting.

Really like the speed of the lens.. very fast to focus... just as fast as my 135L and the bokeh is close as well.

Picked up the Canon 85 F/1.8 as well... sharp wide open... gets better from F/2.2 on up. CA is still pretty heavy for this lens... waiting to see the reviews for the new Sigma 85mm when it is released. If it performs well... will sell this and pick up the Sigma.

Have a fun weekend all.

Went to the Superstition Photo Studio Meetup in Apache Junction. This is a start-up studio, with ample space (they had approx 4 or 5 shooting areas) with one cyc wall.

Here are two images from the meetup, I was shooting hand held and without flash. so it's ISO 1000 at f4, shutter speed was 1/40th of a second. Lighting was the overhead florescent lights and modeling lights from the dyna-lites.
