12 hrs later and the wedding was over. We had fun and it was non stop all day long. All the families were really nice and just a fun bunch to be around. Not a huge pressure cooker... just kick back and have fun. The MUA we use did a wonderful job and all the ladies she worked on loved the hair and makeup.

I think Kristy and I have a new appreciation for wedding photography. LOL And I now see why shooters charge what they do.... :)

For our first wedding... I don't think there could have been a better one to shoot. All the family memebers were nice and we just there to have a blast.

We learned a lot... shooting at night sucks... that was one major lesson. If we take on more weddings... I see another investment in the future... "Q" flash heads and packs.... the speedlights worked alright... battery life wasn't an issue.... power was.

All in all.... lots of work.... lots of fun... hopefully it will lead to more business. :)

Hope everyone has had a fun weekend so far. Time to rest! :D

1st one edited from today. Pretty tough session. This one did NOT want to be out of mom's hands, and did NOT want want to sleep if she wasn't swaddlled. Mom says that she is the only one who can hold her. :(

I really like this last one Brian!

I have 3 newborn shoots coming up (never done one before). Do you convert most of yours to b&w? I'm a little worried about the skin tones on newborns...thanks!

I don't convert them all. It all depends on what I feel gives the strongest image.

Ok... so I'm sick and tired of all this people crap. I think I'm going on a small little hike this Saturday. Horton Creek. I really need to shoot some scenery... that doesn't talk back.

So, of course, everyone here is invited. :D

Meet here. (external link)

There is a spring at the end of the trail, about 4 miles one way. It's really not a bad hike at all. And extremely beautiful scenery all the way... specially right now. Check out this guys pics from Horton. (external link)

So... what do ya'll say? Who's up for a nice little hike/photo excursion?
