Eric, you really captured the moment. Wonderful images...

Dean, that photo is screaming for "retro"

I'm sure not giving it justice, but you'll get the idea,
I love the shot..!!

Great concept, but the kids look a little squished. Maybe it's just the crop.

Big brown truck just dropped off the 35L... very pleased with the initial shots... all junk shots but... I think I am going to dig this lens. Need to dial it in tomorrow... just to make sure it is hitting.

Full res samples are on Flickr if you want to check them out...

ROFL! That is one sexy m'fer!

Have you thought about the Sigma 85mm F/1.4? I know it isn't out yet... but... for me... if it performs like the Sigma 50mm I have... I will sell the 85mm F/1.8 and pick up the Sigma. The bokeh on the 50mm is fantastic!

I shot with the 85L and it does provide amazing images... but for me.. and my shooting style... the slow AF was a deal breaker. Painfully slow IMO.

We'll just start calling Frank "Dr Prime" now...

He needs a new title anyways since Uncle Sugar has turned him loose on the real world! ;)

I like the sound of that... but.. I think you have more primes in the bag than I do :) Not to mention... I don't think you shoot anything under 200mm LOL

The real world... YIKES!!! It had to come to an end at some point... now... time to crank up the business so you all don't see me under some overpass with a sign saying "will photograph you for food" :)

Ok, come on now, I want to see one of you all get this 500.00 prize. I was so hungry I didn't even think about it, but I do order Dominos several times per month so I should have another chance.

Hatch, lets see what that 35l can do. If you can make a f#$@ing weed look good, just imagine what you can do with a pizza pie..;)

Here at Dominoes we are such cheap @#$%^&'s that we don't want to pay any professional photographers to produce our advertising images for us so we are jumping on the bandwagon of "crowd sourcing" for our advertising and boy are we going to save a bundle on the costs.

This whole crowd sourcing trend is really amazing, all we have to do is open the task up to the masses and offer some stupid low cash prize and the corporate lawyers are happy and the legal department won't kill us for taking advantage of anyone and everyone.

Now if we could just figure out how to get dumb kids to deliver our incredible bad tasting pies for a very low cost . . . .

Oh, wait we already got that one covered . . .

You just gotta love the way photography has turned into such a joke in the world.

You want pizza? Go here:

Or here:

And really. As Az says, why do their photography for them on the cheap? That's all this is.

lol... Ohhh come on man, it's a pizza.. :) I think it's a brilliant marketing campaign on their part that fits well with the new generation of customers and social networking.

The trend is your friend, get used to it. More to come I'm sure.

EDIT-I actually prefer Oregano's Pizza, but Dominos is good for quick and cheap. I don't think there new pizza is Sh!t either. The old style, yes, not the new though..
EDIT 2-Ohhh, and the way they leverage technology in their ordering system has come a long way too. I use it with every order, and it works like clockwork..

LOL :)

I won't get in to the heated pizza debate... but I do think shooting food would be fun and very hard... at least to make it look good.

Here's another snapshot... @f/2.0...

True. It fits the idiocracy that this country is turning towards. :p

Pizza can be one of the best things you eat, or it can be the worst. Dominos is ****. That's that.

Astronomical Heads Up...

Monday July 26 is a Full Moon with Sunset and Moonrise times being nearly identical.
Sunset 732pm .. Moonrise 754pm

Good Moon behind Saguraro or Mountains possiblity while still having some color in the sky.
(If it's not Monsooning or something...)
