My favorites from my first learning experience. C&C Welcome. Only cropping and resizing has been done.

Camera: 7D
Lens: Sigma 50-150mm
Lighting used was 53" Rotalux, D Lite 4 (only 1), Vagabond II.

Im happy, though I know there is tons of room for improvement and I still have a lot of leaning to but you have to start somewhere.

#1 the handlebars across his arm, a few steps to your right.

#2 better :)

#3 needs more light

#4 I like it :):)

#5 handlebars but i like what you were seeing here

#6 Love the colors and looks good :cool::cool:

Sweet man pics look good. I see you used my secret sweet spot in Phoenix. Pretty awesome location huh? When did you shoot these, today?

Yesterday, just got around to unloading the card. Yes the spot is pretty nice, you get about 6 or 7 different backgrounds to work with in just one alley. I couldn't work with the wooden door because of the sun, at 5pm it was horrible but thats my fault for shooting so early. Half the door was shaded and the other half was fully lit by the sun. Thanks for letting me know about it. It worked out great. I found 2 other spots, i'll post them up in a sec with geotag info.

A few from today..... 7 days old.... wasn't bad to photograph.... no real fits. :)

Great shots Frank. Out of curiosity... what is next to the baby's hand on the one with it laying on the dad? It kinda looks like... string? On his back?

heyy guys i am new to this website but i love it so far so many nice people and every thing but i also live in AZ and yess its a great place to shoot

Welcome. This is an excellent group. You'll learn TOOOOOOOOONS from them.

Looked at your site... you got a few good shots on the baseball game. Is that what you're mostly interested in, or what?

Sweet shots Steve. I personally prefer 4 wheels over 2 wheels... but still cool.

We used both of them actually! The second pic is taken at the Laveen place you use. Here's a similar shot of mine, Ignore the shadow, these were taken at night and there was something moving in the bushes and I was trying to get the hell out of there!

i thought this wall looked familiar! Glad you enjoyed both locations :) Please share any gem of locations you find. I'm always on the hunt for new places.

The catch-lights make that Rufus shot stock-print worthy.

I have Canon gear. SX1 IS, two 7D bodies and mostly f/2.8 lenses 10mm-200mm, doubler, and 17/4 TSE, some 580EX IIs. Additional portable lighting gear, and tripod with 360 pano mount. Want two 7D II bodies.

I can see his feet better in this shot. :) Good Job to both you & Chritian.

Two Wheels, Newborns and a cooperative dog...
Can't ask for much more than that out of life! :D Nice Work All!!

Just a quick FYI: I've actually managed to re-brand my Zenfolio site and I'm now working under the banner: Crosswind Images (external link).

AFAIK, the old url (www.jcbeckman.zenfolio.com (external link)) should also remain in effect as well. Gotta love this modern technology, eh?

Awesome stuff Jay! :)

Now you need to get a FavIcon for the site. :) Could use the 'O' in Crosswind easily enough.

Oh, sorry. It's the little Icon that shows up in the tabs, next to the url at the top, and when ever you bookmark a site. Like for POTN, it has the blue camera.

Zenfolio has a nice feature where you just upload a small icon type image, and it'll automatically put the FavIcon up there for you. :)
