I keep occasionally seeing where people use some sort of adapter to use the old style lenses with their new DSLR's. I've got an old Pentax S1 that used to belong to my father, including a couple of lenses and a teleconverter. I hate to get rid of them as they are still very good and clean glass, and would be absolutely overjoyed if I could somehow use them on my 40D. Using them in just a manual mode would be no problem at all. In any case, is this wish possible, or should I go ahead and sell the camera to someone who might actually use it?

Forgot to mention that the lenses are not the Pentax K mount, either, if that makes any difference!

Hmm, I've got a Takumar 55/2.2 and 135/3.5, plus a Soligar 2X 1.4 teleconverter (I think that's right?). I only have the 18-55mm kit lens for the 40D, and am saving up to get a telescope for my astrophotography aspirations, but I just hate seeing these lenses go to waste. The threads were quite helpful, so I think I may spring for the adapter, since it may be a while before I can afford some glass for the canera itself. Thanks a bunch!!!!!
