Sorry, I did that on my wife's laptop with a horrible screen.
The color is based on the assumption that the paper is a neutral white.

The background is semi opaque white plastic, and no disrespect but the photo you posted look awful!

You might do a touch more on lifting the foreground shadows, a bit more Fill or use the Shadows and/or the Dark sliders in the Tones tab. To me, at least, that would look more like a bright sunny day scene, like this appears to be.

Thanks for the tips. I'll have a go at them a little later.

I tried a few different combination's and was never satisfied with the result. Here is another version. Sorry, they are huge.

Try and fix that CA with lightroom. Take the blue chromatic aberration slider until it's gone.

I tried, but that was as clear as I could get it. It was shot through a window screen so I'm not sure it is repairable. If anyone would like to give it a shot I'll send the file.

It is very similar to the Sepia preset that comes bundled with LR.

If you take the Detail slider down to 0 it will get rid of most of that white halo.

Actually, the second edit is way better in luminosity then your version (which is too dark: I'd say about 1,5 stops underexposed)
Is your screen calibrated?

White balance was more or less okay in your unedited version. Elie's version is a bit warm.

Well this shot was taken with much compromise as far as lighting is concerned as I used a wind up LED light which was very harsh but gave me a reasonably short exposure. If you see my other shot in Macro you'l see a much better result. As for screen calibration well the I normally use the laptop for everything but I've found that pictures editied on it which have been uploaded look darker when viewd on another machine, or on my phone-it seeems the monitor is far from faithful gamma wise but I don't know how to calibrate it, plus I'm not the only user so I tend to leave it as it is. I have a PC too which gives a more faithful rendition but is not internet connected so its a case of editing on the PC, savng the pic there and transferring via USB stick to the laptop for uploading.

I kinda like the before pic better...you lost all the sky and gained lots of rusty tie down.
