Aw shoot. Sorry about that. Thanks for the compliment anyway even it was just being nice.

To redeem myself here is one of mine. Sorry for the reverse order--after > before. It was done in Canon's DPP. This wasn't a professional assignment, it was just me going out and quickly taking some pictures of tree trimmers for the fun of it. As most know, the program is pretty basic so it was mainly levels, saturation, sharpness and curves. I may have overdone it a little bit.

Thanks but it's not HDR. I like to do tone blending and then make it look like HDR because I don't want to buy Photomatix and don't feel I need it. But I suppose we're getting off topic.

sRisonS,

Outstanding job on this PP conversion. One of the best I have seen.

I had shot a squirrel in manual outside and then half an hour later when I was inside, I quickly grabbed the camera to get a couple of shots but they turned out 2 stops under exposed. By the time I had changed the settings he was long gone.
This should have been ISO 3200, 1/100s, F5.6 250mm instead of ISO 1600, 1/200s F/6.3. At least it's a lot better than no pic at all :)

Your conversion looks overexposed to me and some highlights are clipped. I prefer the original, actually.

I kinda agree. Maybe just add some fill light???? And possibly turn down the luminance of the green.

I like the edit in general, but I'm not a fan of the light remaining in her eyes -- in the "after," since I'm looking first at her eyes, the spots really distract me. In a situation like this, do you touch-up in PS? (I know this is a RAW conversion thread, so I understand if the "final" image isn't the "after.")
