You did a great job on selectively boosting those shadows!

I reduced the overall exposure, upped recovery ad then selectively increased exposure on the shaded areas and reduced on the sunlit areas using brushes. The right side of my face(on left in photo) seems to be completely blown out though... I can't seem to rescue any more of it myself.

I tried to use the target adjustment brush on the raw file. It does open up some noise in the shadows though.

Used the adjustment brush to lighten faces and dress then used presets and I dont know which ones sorry. There's more here http://kleinstyle.zenfolio.com/editofbride (external link) if I could figure out how to turn it on so you could download them I would. Just let me know if you like them and I can send you them.

Updated my post. If I remember properly, all I did was boost fill light, and reduce noise.

If I remember properly...

You don't have to remember at all. Just look into the History panel on the left...

- upped black point by 1.2
- upped saturation by .16
- upped contrast by .02
- sharpened standard
- vignette intensity 1.0, radius .5
- additional burning in vignette area
- tweaked levels to lighten the mid-range a bit
- crop & straighten
