Hey great thread Tony. I'm certainly picking up some tips. Thanks for pointing me towards it.
I use DPP to do my converting, but all you guys using LR2 seem to have me interested. It certainly does some neat stuff with the right know how!

Problem is I tend to rely on PS too much! But I'll try and do some DPP only and post it.

Hi Tareq, great shot. But I think HDR goes a bit beyond a mere raw conversion, or? ;) Anyhow, I think that the tower could have been a bit brighter after tone mapping.

Heh! Thanks for posting a nice HDR shot, Tareq, but read the introductory post, my friend:)!

I would love for you to take some of your fantastic shots and try working them over in your RAW converter only and let us see some of your results!

For those who have been enjoying a three-day holiday weekend, show us some stuff!

Nice conversion Tareq!

I hope you understand the intent of the thread -- it's about how to squeeze the most out of our RAW files and converters/developers, whether or not Photoshop is ultimately resorted to (or other processors, HDR, etc) so we are limiting the posts here to just the RAW deveoped files.

We are asking for conversion details because that's how people can learn. I understand that some may be reticent to share "trade secrets" but, hey, in this thread it's about sharing, encouraging and inspiring others.

Yes, i understand.

No need to know what i did, all what i did is converted to monochrome picture style, played a little with contrast and curve on DPP, little sharpness and converted to JPEG, thats all.
