I started halfway because old threads will inevitably have red x's at the start. But what a great thread. I should really dl a trial of LR3 or something.

50% of all the comments were from Tony saying "please show your changes in LR3/Photoshop" :D

I'm telling you! Just go with my idea and have people post this after their pictures

CHECK THE FOLLOWING BEFORE POSTING:
- Are your pictures full size?
- Do you have a before and after?
- Did you post a shot of your adjustments?
- Are you using a RAW processor?

Umm, please explain! Are you saying you did all (or any) of the editing in the Photoshop editor (not Camera Raw only)?

If so, please take the time to read the thread "Intro", and especially take note of the clear guideling that this thread is for "RAW processing only, no Photoshopping allowed!".

So, if that's the case, I'm afraid we need to ask you to delete your post, and then, if you wish to contribute, take a look at Raw processing!

If I'm mistaken, please let me know!

No I used Camera RAW in CS5 to edit most of the shot but cropped and leveled in CS5.

This thread has a purpose. There are other threads with other purposes, if you don't like the purpose of this thread, post in one of the thousands of other ones, or create your own.

It's not the purpose, which I think is very revealing, but the in-your-face attitude.

OK, well we do need you to post a screen shot or details of your Camera Raw adjustments. Please put it in your original post so that your project will "hang together"!

And, thanks for clearing that up!

Does it offend you? I'd assume a person coming to post in this thread would look around a bit considering it nearly has 1 MILLION views. Don't be so soft.

Offend? You'd have to put on full court pressure to offend me. Me being soft? How does not liking reading through this thread and constantly reading heavily bolded posts about "the rules" constitute soft?

OK, I thinks CanonGrl is being a bit playful with that stuff, but thanks for your opinion.

Now, can we get off this discussion and get on with the show:)?

Actually, not a bad idea.

When I first looked at this thread, I made a bunch of bad assumptions regarding the intent and requirements. Brief easy-to-find instructions would have helped.

I'll follow this post with an example of what would have helped me figure out what to do - a short list of the rules copied to the top of every contribution. A lot of people might think that these rules go without saying, but it looks like most new contributors just don't get it - the same way I didn't get it at first. (My example is only meant to be an example of a Before and After posting. Did I get it right? I know, the photo sucks.)

On with the show!

Replacing my Canon 7D, Tokina 12-24mm, Canon 17-55mm, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, and 150-500mm with a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000. I still have the 17-55 and the 30 available for sale.
