I'd still rather have an xxD body for that kind of money. I got my brand new 40D kit for only $100 more than that.

$900 does seem pretty steep. For only $200 more you can get a new 50D body.

The new Rebel just seems WAY too expensive. Is video really that big of a deal?

Apparently it has the same sensor and the same processor as the 50D.
