Woah! That's some lift-off!

Glad the driver seems to be safe & sound.

I have pictures in my head of Ricky Bobby running around screaming "I'm on fire, I'm on fire"...

Nice shots! It always surprises me the strength of racing cars these days!

Actually, after he got out of the car, Carl did pull a Ricky Bobby and run up to the start/finish line:

Sweet set of photos. I was lucky enough to be at Daytona and Joey L. wrecked in front of me and got some good shots but nothing like yours that must of been awesome getting that series.

Nice job! I was hoping you captured the car in the fence as well! Luckily it held up!

Yeah alot more would have been injured than the few caught by flying debris.

Good job capturing the action.

Hi Kb,
Before posting them here, I hope you've contacted the magazines and newspapers to try and sell them.
A couple of good pics in there and would probably get a reasonable dollar given that he was the race leader on the last lap

Phil,

Getty has some shots of the crash and all of the mags/papers have their own staff (at least they used to). It would be a tough sell for sure.

If you can't fix it with a hammer you've got an electrical problem.

Yeah, I figured as much Brent, but it's always worth making enquiries first because you just never know what those guys might have missed.
It's better to ask the question and be told no thanks than to find out later that you might just have sold them if you'd just asked.
I recently had someone show me some pics and asked if the mag I shoot for would be interested in them.
They would have been...if we'd seen them three weeks prior to when we did.
If I'm at a track and I get something like that the first thing I do there and then is find out if the paper/mags are interested - sometimes they are, sometimes they're not but at least I've asked the question
