... if so please post them here and share your set up/settings. I'd really appreciate if you could because I want to take some Islamic photos and am a little stuck :/

Preferrably of the bible/religious books and small objects :)

They are very strict out here in the middleeast on taking photos of people in prayer, and religious buildings etc.

I don't get it, what's going on?

For "religious photographs" I'd just any low-light type settings, assuming it's indoors.

Very strange and unfriendly thread, but here goes....

I have taken photos of people at prayer, photos of religious services, photos of objects of veneration, photos of houses of worship, photos depicting God's handiwork, and so forth, but no photos that were themselves religious.

What a bizarre concept. I mean, we love our Canon gear, but come on!!!

And the OP thinks WE'RE the weirdos....

This shot isn't explicitly religious (it is a priest though) and probably not what you're after, but here you go anyway:

Candid, 28-135mm, can't recall the settings (this image was lost in an unfortunate hard drive accident, only have this small EXIFless version):

I bought a new camera. It's very advanced - you don't even need it. ~Steven Wright

No I don't think that is it. From another thread she had some strange problems on Flickr and I think fears the problems followed her here (ie internet stalking).

So I will add a photos to cheer us all up.

I've got quite a few pictures of churches and what not, but it's all architectural in nature. Other than some weddings, I've never shot anything "religious".

If you want some photos of Islamic religion/culture, I'd find a friend via local Mosque and explain your project and goals with them. Then they can tour you around and make sure that you are not stepping on any toes while photographing people in prayer and so forth. Anyhow, that's what I would do.

Good luck with your project :-)
