She has very pale skin to start with any suggestions on how to control the light or does this look Okay?

Maybe similar to the lighting in this post and note the comment about flat lighting: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=683971 Yours seems to be a well diffused bounce flash which throws light everywhere. Directional lighting can have a different more attractive appearance. Thanks Happysnapper, I have'nt heard that about the shutter speed before but i will certainly look into that. I also thought the light was a little hot in some areas, I may have another go tonight if she's up to it.

I'm confused wouldn't moving the light source closer make it brighter? towersinthesky wrote in post #7819062 ^^ I'd try maybe bouncing the flash into an umbrella first or shooting through a softbox, it will defuse it a bit more evenly.
