Senior Pix

Hi all, this is my first attempt at doing senior portraits. I am asking people to view the pictures on my website and let me know what they think. Any tips and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. These are going to be put in a senior book.

I think you did a nice job with these. The vignette effect was a little overdone in my opinion but overall look good. I checked out some of your other work too. Some of those sunset shots are really awesome. Good job. The airshow stuff was good but we gotta get you to slow down that shutter for the propped airplanes and heli's. Frozen blades don't do those any justice.

Thanks Stan, I thought the vignetting was a little much myself, but only on some of the pictures. I will work on slowing that shutter down...lol.

It's tough to get comments on this forum from what I've found. Wow, you're shooting with a MkIII? Nice gear sig.
If you don't already, I would suggest visiting a local forum that I frequent. I'll PM you the link so it doesn't look like i'm trolling.

I didn't like the over usage of the vignetting. Instead of natural vignetting, it looked like the vignetting was kind of profile driven, like there was an outline around the subject and the edges were dark.
Some good shots in there IMO. I don't know what to suggest. They're not bad, but a few looked like snapshots.

The vignetting was pretty heavy for me.
While the location and clothes change, her smile stays the same for most of the images. Try to mix it up, smile, silly, serious...

If the customer is happy with them and you got paid then forget everything I just said.

Thank you for the comment and tips. The customer is my daughter....lol. I just want us both to be happy with them. I don't do portrait photography so this has been a little bit of challenge.
