Which DPP update is a better version? Is the newest always the best option?

Dear ALL,
i'm using Ver.2.1.1 since my 5D purchase in 2006. i've been quite comfortable with it and never thought of updating it.

i'll be replacing my HDD in the next few days and would have to reload the softwares. i thought it might be a good time to update some of them. i'm still holding on to the DPP CDROM.

i visited the Canon page for software downloads and found that the previous updates are still available.

Should i just go straight to the latest or if there be some interesting in-betweens that's a gem to stick to?

Definitely update to the latest available which will give you more options for editing your photos.

hoe,
For me it has been worth it, as Canon has made improvements to there software. You can always downgrade if you personally don't like it ;)

So I suggest upgrade! :)
