Not sure where to put this so I put it here since it has the most traffic :D

Has anyone used the 2 clean/adjustment coupons with the Gold membership?

What kind of adjustments did they do? Or was it just dust wiping and making sure things work?

Does anyone know if they adjust focus on lenses and cameras?

I emailed Canon but 3 days now and still no reply.

Thanks Stageone for the link.

It looks like he still pays $130 for each camera and the $100 membership fee was just to pay for the 3 days turn around with FedEx shipping (plus some free gifts :) )

Anyone else has experience with the new CPS that can chimp in?

No, thats not how I read it at all, and its not how my CPS membership is explained either. The cleaning is free, he did pay for repair work which was out of warranty.

He paid $130 for each camera to be repaired, not to have them cleaned.

Yes, the cleaning / tuneup is free. Its kinda like the "free inspection" at the service station -- they make their money by finding something wrong, and charging for the repair.

Although I don't think the Canon guys are looking for something broke. "Sir, your shutter looks a little worn. It might last another six thousand clicks, or it might go out tomorrow. We gots a special going on kevlar rear curtains today -- I can get you fixed up for $250!"

Shouldn't happen....... :)

This space for rent.
