Many of you here already know how good Pelican cases are at protecting your gear. If you don't, and you want superior protection for your gear, you might want to check them out. :)

If you fly frequently, or just want to buy a good hard case that you might want to take on board an airliner, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Pelican 1514 wheeled hard case. This is what I managed to pack into mine (I bought the lid organizer for it as well, which enables me to store things inside pockets inside the lid of the case, much like a regular camera bag):

- EOS 5D body
- EOS 50D body
- both bodies have Op-Tech straps attached, as well as Acratech Arca-Swiss style QR plates
- 16-35L
- 24-70L
- 70-200L f/2.8 with Acratech Arca-Swiss style QR plate attached
- 35L
- 85L II
- 100 Macro USM
- 135L
- hoods for everything except the 100 Macro (don't have a hood for that)
- 1.4x Extender II
- 580EX flash
- Sekonic L-358 light meter
- 2 hard cases with 8 CF cards inside them (these take up room, for serious packing I might leave the CF cases out)
- 4 spare 5D/50D batteries (plus one each inside each body)
- charger for the Canon batteries
- 4 sets of four AA batteries, in addition to 4 inside the 580EX
- Canon remote cord (forget the model)
- Canon off-shoe sync cord
- 2 hot shoe adapters for my 580EX for off-camera use
- Peanut optical slave
- roll of black electrical tape (my gaffer tape is the wide type, will have to buy narrower roll)
- Rosco sample gel book (to use with the 580EX)
- Lastolite Ezy Balance pop-up grey/white card
- Giotto Rocket blower
- Lens Pen
- 2 microfibre cloths

Don't believe me? Here is a video of me unpacking all that gear out of the 1514! (external link)

I haven't packed them yet, but there is room for two Skyport transmitters and two Universal receivers (not in their case though). As it is right now, the case weighs 17.2 kg (just under 38 lb). I don't plan to always travel this tightly packed, this was just proof of concept. :)
